Searle Consulting, a Cairns based company founded in 2000 as a data visualisation provider, now trades as True 3D. Data is provided visually in digital or physical format, to regional and remote tropical business communities and well as clients in Perth, Brisbane and Geelong. True 3D clients include government departments, non-government organisations, large corporations, small and medium size enterprises and individuals.
True 3D takes data from sources, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), aerial photography, satellite imagery and many other places and translates this raw data into a readily understandable form for use in consultation, project planning, management and implementation.
True 3D has experience working in remote locations such as the Torres Strait and Fiji. Its range of expertise is directly applicable to projects in Tropical regions around the world.
In 2009, True 3D's joint project "Torres Strait Sustainable Land Use Plan" won the "Overall Excellence" and the "People and Community" categories at the Queensland Spatial Excellence Awards and was a finalist in the Asia Pacific Excellence Awards.
